Our Area
Our vineyards are in the Enza Valley, to be precise in the DOC-certified hills of Scandiano and Canossa. Land recovered from the Enza river over the centuries, full of limestone, clay and gravel; the area is called "Braglie" (Braje), an old Longobard word that meant areas near to rivers that were therefore suitable for the growing of grapes and forage.
In the nearby hills, you can still see castles and parish churches from the year 1000, that bear witness to the history of the area, and the glory of the first Queen of Italy, Matilde of Canossa.
